Time For Some Music

Geoff Sharp.

If you’re a regular reader then you may have noticed that a new page, titled GSharp, has popped up at the top of the site, so I thought I’d take a minute and mention what it was and why it’s there. Obviously you can actually go to the page at the top of the screen for the complete story – I’ll just give you the basics here.

Next to gaming, possibly even above gaming, music is the biggest thing in my life, and being a drummer myself I appreciate it when a real musician steps forward and chases their dream. So I’m proud to announce that one of my oldest and dearest friends, Geoff Sharp, has done just that and released his fist album, No Regrets, onto the market. Years back independent musicians didn’t stand much a chance because you had to be in the right place at the right time, and now the music industry is a former shadow of itself, favouring boybands who only get signed because they have the right look to be marketed to thousands of screaming girls. Real musicians are in danger of becoming a thing of the past, but thanks to the Internet people like Geoff can chase their dream of playing music.

As for Geoff, he’s one of the best guitarists I’ve ever met, and that’s saying something as I’ve met a fair few of them. Other than being a killer guitarist he’s a songwriter, singer and bloody good at recording and mastering tracks. If that wasn’t enough he even plays every other instrument in the album. If I didn’t know better I’d think he was just showing off.

Anyway, below this you’ll find two songs taken from his album, so all I ask is that you take a few minutes and listen to them. If you like them go visit his Youtube channel and listen to the rest of his work. If you’re still liking it then go check out his site and drop him a message because he likes nothing more than to hear from fellow music lovers. You can find the links and the videos below.

About Baden Ronie

I always hate writing about myself, it's such a pain in the ass to know where I should start. I'm twenty years young and love to play, as you may have already guessed. When WolfsGamingBlog.com started up it was simply because I found writing to be a good form of stress relief for when my Cystic Fibrosis was getting me down or simply because I had been having a bad week. When I started writing I never dreamed that people would actually read it, or that it would ever get this big. It's mind boggling. My writing isn't the best, but through trial, error and the comments of readers I strive to improve it so I can provide fair reviews. My ultimate goal is to prove that not everyone in the gaming media are corrupt idiots intent on delivering false reviews. Other than that I'm a fully qualified lifeguard and used to teach first-aid and life-saving skills to kids. What more is there to say? Hmmm, well I love music, reading and films. I'm a drummer, enjoy going swimming and tend to get distracted by shiny objects.
