Wicked Paradise, An “Erotic Adventure Game”, Announced For Oculus Rift

Oculus

By now you’ve no doubt heard about the amazing Oculus Rift, a virtual reality system due for release next year. Media outlets, developers and gamers have all been singing the device’s praises, heralding it as an important milestone in the world of gaming technology.

Well, now a group of developers, whose CV includes titles like RAGE, Call of Duty, Lost Planet, Planetside 2 and Madden, have announced a sex game for the Oculus Rift. Uh, sorry, I mean erotic adventure game.

Titled Wicked Paradise the official site describes the game thusly:

“Wicked Paradise is developing the world’s first fully immersive Erotic Virtual Reality Adventure Game specifically designed to make use of the amazing capabilities of the Oculus Rift.  Instead of watching an erotic movie or reading an erotic book in which the main character has exciting sexual adventures, you become that character! “

Sounds good, right? It gets better…

“Imagine playing Leisure Suit Larry but instead of watching a screen, you are inside the game.

Imagine the world and its inhabitants look highly realistic.

Imagine walking into a bar in Wicked Paradise, noticing a beautiful lady, talking to her, and seducing her.

Imagine playing your cards right and having passionate wild sex with her.

Imagine all this in high quality, immersive virtual reality.

Welcome to Wicked Paradise!”

Well, one thing is for sure: Wicked Paradise isn’t going to be making a good case for the “gaming virgin” stereotype. Still, a game like this was always going to eventually be made for the Oculus Rift, and why not? Even now as you type out a comment filled with sarcasm and laughter designed to deride the idea, there’s probably a good chance that you’d be more than willing to give it a shot.

Wicked Paradise is due for release alongside the Oculus Rift, some time in 2014.
