Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts- review

Looking back i realise how much joy this game has given me,sure there’s no real story and it’s mostly a series of minigames but it’s simply fun to play.Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is a visually stunning game, don’t be fooled into thinking this is just a kids game because of the bright cartoon graphics.
It’s bright, fresh look is a welcome change from the standard, bland FPS games that dominate the xbox 360’s market.
The gameworld in which you venture is a colorful, bright and inventive world with unique settings that truly capture the imagination.

In terms of gameplay it’s a massive change from the original Banjo Kazooie games which were mainly platformers.
instead Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts use’s a vehicle creation system that allows players to construct there dream machine.
The vehicle creation system is simplistic enough for everyone to grasp and so they can throw together a vehicle to complete the given challenges.

However the system comes into it’s own when you sit down and let your creativity loose, the sheer amount of vehicles you can construct is astounding.
Your creations are not just limited to land based creations either, you can creat planes, helicopters, ships and even hovercraft.
Or you can combine several of those to make an all terrain vehicle.
And if your trigger happy there’s a vast array of weaponary, allowing you to happily create a flying/floating/land loving weapons platform.
Vehicle creation is also based upon phyics,so wieght and distribuition are very important in creating the perfect vehicle.

The game use’s a hub based gameworld and from this hub you access diffrent game area’s where you talk to the locals and get challenges.
These challenges differ massively, one moment your doing a normal race and the next your kicking innocent sheep into a goal.
In some of them your given a pre-made vehicle, but in most others your left to create your own,if you want to just get on with it you can throw together a vehicle in minutes,or take hours and creat a hyper jet capable of destroying planets.

In terms of story it’s very simplistic, yet amusing in places.
You are tasked me with defeating an evil witch (cue evil music)
You do this by navigating each gameworld in a sort of competition.
There’s no real plot to it,but your having so much fun you dont usually care.
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is a charming game thats incredibly fun to play and it will provide hours upon hours of fun and it’s great for both kids and adults alike.
