Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m 30 years old and currently serve in the British Army. I’ve been gaming since the early 90’s, my first system being a Tandy TRS-80. I enjoy martial arts and have practiced various styles since I was 9 years old. I alos enjoy going to the cinema to watch movies, and listening to music.
What game/games are you most looking forward to in 2010?
Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Halo: Reach
Whats your thoughts on the PS3 vs Xbox 360 “war”?
I think people get way too passionate over the consoles they own. To the point where they degenerate into total idiots over another persons opinion and get blinded by theirl loyalties to real facts because they don’t want to hear the truth.
Whats your fave film and why?
Whats your fave film and why?
James Camerons Avatar. An absolute masterpiece, that looks amazing, and actually tells a good story that makes you want to be there. There is so much potential to expand on this franchise and I think if anyone can do it successfuly James Cameron can.
Who do think are the best game developers and why?
Without a doubt Bungie. Why? Because they listen to their community and try to give them what the they want. Whether you enjoy their games or not you have to respect a developer that has managed to build such a massive community base like they have.
Is gaming finally gaining more respect in the worldwide community?
I don’t know about respected but it’s certainly more widely accepted. Nowadays it’s such a large market of potential everyone wants to be a part of it.
What game do you believe has the best storyline?
What game do you believe has the best storyline?
Mass Effect. Full credit to Bioware it’s an epic tale from start to finish. Here’s hoping it gets well expanded on in the sequel.
Do you think girl gamers have been largely ignored bythe gaming community?
No, far from it. I think most people just try to treat girlsl like normal people instead of some sort of symbol. They’re just human beings like everyone else at the end of the day.
Whats your take on the under-age gamers playing 18+ games, should parents take more responsability?
Definitely. A game is rated 18 for a reason folks and nowadays the content is getting more and more mature to cater to the adult market. WHat I find most amusing about it though is parents who will allow their kids to sit down and play violent games where you can literally chainsaw people in half but as soon as they see a bit of nudity they call for a game to be banned.
If my Xbox is supposed to be so technalogically advanced, why can it still not make me my morning cup of tea?
It must hate you. I get tea and crumpets every morning.
what do you think of the Xbox Ambassadors program?
It’s a program that has steadily been on a decline since I joined it three years ago. I think it’s great that Microsoft have tried to get people together for the purpose of helping new people on Xbox Live but it hasn’t had anywhere near the support it should be getting. I personally think it’s a waste of time and resources in its current state, a case of too little too late. I hope Microsoft learn from their mistakes with the program, and turn it around, it has great potential.
Any last words or thoughts?
None. My brain is too fried from an all nighter on FIFA10 to come up with anything witty to put here.
Thanks for your time!
No problem. You’re welcome.
