All the E3 news just keeps coming as Ubisoft reveal a brand new game in their classic franchise, DRIVER.
“In many ways, the DRIVER franchise defined the action driving genre with its unique blend of intense driving action and iconic locations,” said Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Ubisoft. “DRIVER San Francisco features a thrilling storyline and exciting new gameplay elements that are sure to captivate both long-time fans as well as newcomers to the series.”
Along with that comes a new feature titled “Shift” which will allow players to seamlessly shift between over 100 hundred licensed vehicles.
Also announced was the Collectors Edition for the game, which will come packed with:
A high quality, collectable replica of the hero car of the game (1970 Dodge Challenger Hemi R/T Six Pack – 18x9x9 cm);
– A map of San Francisco, detailing the in-game location of the 80 dares scattered across the city;
– Two exclusive in-game vehicles [description to come];
– The “Mass Chase” challenge: a wrongfully accused driver attempts to escape the whole police force of San Francisco and prove his innocence.
– More features yet to be unveiled.
The game is due to be released in Q4 of 2010. watch this space.
