The demand for singleplayer DLC for Bioshock 2 has been huge and while the Protector Trials fit the bill, they’re not exactly what people were asking for.
But now a new DLC for Bioshock 2 has been announced, titled Minerva’s Den you will be taking control of a brand new character and helping Brigid Tenenbaum unravel a dictators hold on a key district of Rapture.
“Minerva’s Den is a substantial addition that will give players more of what they’re looking for: more story, more narrative, more gameplay and more of Rapture,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “The core team has created an exciting product that further enhances the mystery and allure of the world of Rapture. Minerva’s Den will be a fitting conclusion to the BioShock 2 saga.”
You’ll be exploring Rapture Central Computing, a never before seen section of Rapture as you get your dirty mitts on some new high tech weaponary and a brand new Plasmid as well!
But of course the Splicers are more dangerous as they can now control the elements as well along with new Security that can use rockets and lighting bolts!
Oh, and a brand new type of Big Daddy to contend with as well!
No pricing nor release date has been mentioned.
And the phrase ” Minerva’s Den will be a fitting conclusion to the Bioshock 2 saga” hints that this may be the final DLC.
