We’re officially past the half-way point for the year and that means it’s time to stop and take stock of what we’ve gotten so far. 2019 has had a couple of pretty good games already with a lot more awesome stuff to come, the likes of Doom Eternal promising a hell of an end to the year. That’s the future, though.
I missed last weekend’s Weekend Whammy, but I’m back and as mediocre as ever! HUZZAH! And this damn cold I’ve had since New Year finally seems to be loosening its grasp on me. I still feel rough around the edges, but I’m considerably better than I was, so let’s do this!
Once again it’s time to go back to the eternally dark Warhammer universe where friendly hand shakes are a myth and even the baby sitters wear spiky armour and wield lethal weapons. The first Battlefleet Gothic: Armada proved to be a surprise, offering up some brilliant spaceship battling. Considering that the Warhammer licence gets handed out like free candy these days it was even nicer to be gifted a game about massive spaceships clashing. Now, though, we have Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, the sequel that offers more ships, more factions and more awesomeness.
By this weekend I was meant to have my review of Smoke and Sacrifice posted for all the world to read and scoff at. You might have noticed that hasn’t happened. The reason is that pesky cold I caught around New Year has now managed to burrow its way into my sinuses and ears and clog everything up. My right ear feels like it has an ear plug in it, I can’t stand up without falling flat on my face, I’m bouncing madly between being too hot and being too cold, and I have the constant urge to throw up. Needless to say, I am not a happy bunny right now.
