You might not have realised it, but last year Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL was released in North America for a budget price. It didn’t get rave reviews or sell that well, but still some Europeans were disappointed that they couldn’t get their hands on it. But never fear because it has now been announced that Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL will be coming to Europe this year, so now you can your dirty mitts on the Super Smash Bros clone and enjoy some cartoon fisticuffs.

And that’s pretty much exactly what PTE XL  is: a Super Smash Bros replica, but instead of Link and his fellow Nintendions (it’s a word, I swear) beating each other up you’ve got a fairly wide selection of Cartoon Network characters, both old and new. Ever wanted to see Dexter kick the hell out of Johnny Bravo? of course you have! Or how about that really creepy he/she devil, Him, versus Mojo Jojo? Sound good? Then go for it.

If the comparison to Super Smash Bros hasn’t really clued you in, then what we’re talking about here is a bunch of cartoon characters squaring off in a 2D fighter involving plenty of pain and special moves The only real bummer is that the game doesn’t have an online mode, so you won’t be able to take on your friends from around the world, instead you’ll have singleplayer and split-screen only.

The game will be hitting Europe sometime in April of this year.

You can find the full character roster HERE.
