Welcome back to another Weekend Whammy, my friends. Hopefully you’re doing good, having fun, staying safe and all that good stuff. This week I’m chatting a bit about my initial impressions of Returnal, a bit of Titanfall 2 and then jump into the news where we have some interesting Microsoft insights to chat about, Sony financials, a Sony-Discord deal and more.
I wanted to update you on the lack of content and what’s going on. Basically, I’m taking a short break, just until this weekend (hopefully.)
Welcome back to another Weekend Whammy, my fair folk! This week I’ll be talking about Game Pass being the perfect multiplayer destination, Sony shutting down the PS3, PSP and Vita stores, new research on whether loot boxes constitute gambling and much more
So, I don’t usually do updates like this but I just wanted to let you all know what is currently going on in the world of Wolf. Simply put, my computer is currently dead.
Last week it started acting up and then died completely. I won’t bore you with the symptoms, but suffice to say I went through a lot of potential solutions and then eventually stripped it down part by part in order to locate the fault. I narrowed it down to being either the motherboard, a MSI X370 Titanium, or the Ryzen 5 1600 CPU. Both aren’t even a year old, and neither is even fully paid for yet. I’m pretty sure it’s the motherboard at fault, although I can’t be completely certain. I think it’s the more likely option, though.
You may have noticed that these days I only post reviews here, rarely covering any news or anything else. However, I’m making an exception for Big Viking Mats whose Kickstarter is due to end on May 21st. Why? Well, I was going to be doing a review of […]
With the game due for release within the next month, not counting potential further delays, I’m going to keep this preview short and to the point, mostly just tackling the skirmish mode so that when I go to review the full game I’ll still have plenty to talk about. Currently if you buy the game you’ll get access to the ongoing beta that should hopefully result in the game being reasonably balanced in time for launch. Purchasing now or within two months of launch also means you grab an early adopters bonus of sorts in the form of two new factions for free, whenever they’re ready. The point is the game is essentially on sale now, and that means people deserve to know if it’s any good.
Evening folks, Chances are you weren’t at all surprised to see nothing being posted to this site over the last week or so, after all I’m hardly the most consistent writer, opting to focus more on reviews and posting only the occasional bit of news and sometimes even […]
Having been teased for some time now Tony Hawks’ Pro Skater 5 has been officially revealed via Game Informer who are promising a 6-page feature in their new issue. The game is due to arrive this year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later in the year, with […]
Update: 53,000 signatures and counting Petition’s are not exactly an uncommon sight these days. They tend to follow intense Internet anger which in itself is incredibly common, usually drawing loads of signatures at first and then sort of dying out as something also draws the ire of gamers. […]
Avalanche Studios have unleashed the first ever trailer for the forthcoming Just Cause 3. Basically, explosions. Lots and lots of ‘splosions.
