Bond is back and he’s bringing big numbers with him as publisher and developer IOI have announced.
According to the company, 007 First Light has managed to sell 1.5 million copies in just 24-hours of being available.
This flies against some of the early speculation that it wasn’t selling well. Who knows what IOI internally considers to be a success, but from the outside 1.5m copies in a day is a pretty damn good start.
I’m a couple of hours in and having a great time of it so far. There’s still plenty of Hitman DNA in it, especially in the scenes where they really put the Glacier engine’s ability to handle crowds to work, but it also has plenty of Bond swagger – lots of sneaking about, shootouts, climbing, bluffing your way through areas and being a smartass.
Keep an eye out for a full review coming soon.
