From the moment Bioware announced multiplayer for Mass Effect 3 almost everyone knew that multiplayer DLC would be all but inevitable. Still, given the fact that Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer has gone down extremely well with fans, multiplayer DLC is likely to go down rather well. So as luck would have it, Sony’s Honk Kong site has, according to Kotaku, accidentally revealed the existence of Rebellion, a multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3 that might be coming as early as this week.
The page for the DLC, which has since been taken down, stated that the DLC pack would contain two new maps, three new weapons and six new classes, as well as equipment and consumables:
“The Rebellion Multiplayer Expansion opens two new fronts against the Reapers: Firebase Jade’s jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons as well as equipment, consumables, and six new classes: Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Phoenix Adept and Vanguard. The battle continues – hold the line!”
According to the Sony site, the DLC is already available in Asia which means it should be arriving over here fairly soon, possibly even within the week. However, having said that it seems strange that EA and Bioware haven’t made an announcement yet if it is.
Stay tuned.
