It has been quite some time since id Softwares shooter RAGE was released to generally good reception, and in all this time id Software have kept quiet about any plans to release any DLC for the game, despite the fact that they have previously mentioned plans to create new content for the game.

But now the European game ratings board PEGI have recently published a listing for something called RAGE: The Scorchers for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, which sounds suspiciously like DLC:

Out of the six bandit clans created for RAGE, the Scorchers were the only ones to be cut from the final release. Exactly why they were cut is unknown, but we do know a few things about them: they worship they asteroid 99942 Apophis, which is the very same asteroid that left the planet in the state it is. They believe a demi-god rode the asteroid straight into the soul of the planet, and that by tapping its power they’ll become all-powerful. If that wasn’t bad enough they’ve got an unhealthy obsession with fire and are led by a badass called Reaver.

definitely sounds like the makings of a good expansion pack: badass leader, check. Love of fire, check. Terrible religious choice, check.

So, now all we need is an official announcement from Bethesda and a release date! Sadly, Bethesda are refusing to comment on it. Damn.
