Arkane have today stepped forth from the shadows to announce three add-on packs for their utterly superb stealth/action game, Dishonored. The new packs will start in December and will be launched on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC simultaneously.

The first, scheduled to be launched in December at the low price of £3.99 or 400MSP, is titled Dunwall City Trials and is a series of ten challenge maps that promise to test your stealth, combat and movement abilities to the max, honing your skills to their full potential. Included in the pack will be an arena battle against waves of enemy AI, a gravity-defying run of drop assassinations, and a race against the clock. Of course the Dunwall City Trials pack will also come with new Achievements and Trophies, as well as a global leaderboard for the more competitive players out there.

If that’s not your thing and you fancy some more story driven content then you’re in luck as the two packs that follow Dunwall City Trials are exactly that. The first story pack is going to focus on Daud and his mysterious band of assassin’s known as The Whalers. According to the press release in this pack you can expect to play through new locales in Dunwall and discover Daud’s own set of unique powers and weapons. It’s also promised that how you play and the choices you make will affect the ending. As for the third content pack, Arkane aren’t currently supplying any details as to what we can expect from it.

Both of these packs will release sometime in 2013, with pricing information becoming available closer to launch.

And to answer the Emails, yes I am doing a Dishonored review. It should be up in the next few days, and sorry for the delay!
