Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has been crying out for a sequel and it seems that those cries haven’t gone unnoticed with Konami announcing Lords of Shadow 2 at the VGAs with a trailer. The official website is billing Lords of Shadow 2 as a “shocking conclusion to the Lords of Shadow saga”. With the connection between the Belmonts and Dracula having been revealed in the first game,  the ancient vampire is making a comeback: “Dracula returns once again, weakened and yearning for release from his immortal bonds. Facing a new and powerful threat, the vampire lord must reacquire his old powers – and only his castle holds the key. However, the famed Belmont clan also seek his ultimate destruction.” reads the blurb on the website.

Other than that, details are fairly thin on the ground, but the trailer would seem to indicate that the game will cover a considerable time period, with at least some of the action taking place in modern-day.
