Far Cry 6 coming to Game Pass in December, along with a host of other titles

The official Xbox site has announced everything coming to Xbox Game Pass in December and it’s a pretty spectacular list.

Remnant: From the Ashes and Remnant 2 are both available right now to play on console, Cloud and PC. These were both completely unexpected as Microsoft didn’t mention either game. Technically these actually hit Game Pass within the last week, but I’m including them regardless.

Arguably the biggest title hitting Game Pass is Far Cry 6, the latest open-world blockbuster from Ubisoft. The reviews for this one were solid, with Opencritic listing it as a 76 based on 182 reviews. I’ve really enjoyed the Far Cry games over the years but never got around to playing Far Cry 6, so I’m looking forward to jumping in when it hits Cloud, console and PC on December 12.

There’s also going to be two games arriving on the service on day 1. We kick off on December 1 with SteamWorld Build, the new city-builder that takes place in the growing SteamWorld universe. The reviews have been favourable, with PushSquare saying: “SteamWorld Build is a delightful and very satisfying foray into the city-building genre. The two gameplay modes complement each other well, offering two very different but equally pleasing ways to gain resources. While we do wish the story could’ve lasted a little bit longer, the addictive gameplay and slick presentation makes it very easy to recommend.”

The other day-1 game is While the Iron’s Hot. Here’s the blurb: “Step into the boots of a journeyman blacksmith on a quest to become a master in While the Iron’s Hot, a crafty adventure assembled with mystery, wit, and charm. And finally, before we get into the full list of things coming to Game Pass, Microsoft also revealed that Chivalry 2 and Totally Reliable Delivery Service will be added to Game Pass Core on December 6.

Here’s everything being added to Game Pass this December:

  • SteamWorld Build (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 1
  • Clone Drone in the Danger Zone (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – December 5
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 5
  • While the Iron’s Hot (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 5
  • World War Z: Aftermath (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 5
  • Goat Simulator 3 (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – December 7
  • Against the Storm (PC) – December 8
  • Tin Hearts (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 12
  • Far Cry 6 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – December 14

And the following titles will be leaving Game Pass on December 15.

  • Opus Magnum (PC)
