Ubisoft’s remake of the classic Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has had a rough time since its announcement back in 2020, but now we might have a good sign that it’s not only still being worked on, but may even be released quite soon.

A Trophy list for the remake has popped up on PSNProfiles, listing 25 individual Trophies for the game, including one called Smoldering Gaze which is awarded for staring at Farah very closely.

PSNProfiles is a site that tracks PlayStation Trophy’s. It’s widely used by the PlayStation community to track their Trophy’s, look up Trophy lists and so on.

The news is important because PSNProfiles gets its trophy lists from Sony’s own servers, meaning the data can’t really be fake or appear by accident. For the Trophies to exist along with their corresponding images, they need to have been uploaded on Sony’s side.

The other implication is that Trophy lists don’t typically appear until a game is quite close to launch. In fact, Trophies don’t normally appear until just days before release, meaning we could actually be very close to playing the remake.

The game’s troubled development has become something of a running joke at this point. After being announced in 2020 it was delayed just one month later, followed by the announcement of an indefinite delay in February of 2021. Development duties then got shifted from Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai to Ubisoft Montreal, the same team that made Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

Comically, a new Prince of Persia game called The Lost Crown was developed, announced and released within the three years since the remake was officially revealed to the world.
