Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra from Uncharted writer Amy Hennig and developer Skydance Games has been officially delayed until early 2026.
Speaking on X, Skydance Games put out a statement addressing the delay, saying that “Taking this additional time will allow us to add more polish, and make sure we give you the best possible experience, and one that lives up to our vision.”
No exact date was given. Skydance instead simply says it will come in “early” 2026. That potentially puts it into GTA VI territory which was also recently delayed until May 26, 2026.
The delay of Marvel 1943 isn’t shocking, though. Announced back in March 2024, the game’s premise involves a young Captain America teaming up with that era’s Black Panther to attempt to stop Hydra. But since its announcement, the game has been fairly quiet. We’ve only seen a story trailer and learned a few details from writer Amy Hennig, which is why many people were already assuming the game would be pushed back into 2026.
While I had also assumed it wasn’t going to be performing a superhero landing onto store shelves this year, I am a little surprised Skydance didn’t soften the blow with a gameplay trailer or even some new screenshots.
