Rumours have been swirling for years about the existence of a new Spyro game, and they’ve coalesced around Toys for Bob. Now, a LinkedIn profile seems to have confirmed that it’s real and in development.
The information in question was spotted by @Xian01 on X and then reported by Canadian Guy Eh on Youtube.
Donald Yatomi has been an artist in the videogame industry for a long time, including a lengthy stint at Bend Studio as Art Director where he shipped Days Gone. On his profile, his lists working at Toys For Bob for 20 months. But the really interesting thing is that during his time there he cites working on “call of duty, spyro.”

This could, of course, mean anything from another remaster to a completely new entry in the series. A new game seems the most likely, as we’ve had a few hints pointing toward this.
Shortly after gaining their independence from Microsoft and Activision-Blizzard, Toys for Bob changed their logo to a distinctive purple which many people assumed to be teasing a new Spyro title.
Keep in mind, that Toys For Bob also stated they are working on a game in partnership with Microsoft. Considering their prior work on the franchise and Microsoft’s ownership of Spyro, it isn’t hard to see why people are hoping the purple dragon is coming back.
