Alongside the announcement and release of God of War: Sons of Sparta, there was another big God of War announcement at Sony’s recent State of Play: the first three games are getting remade as a new Greek Trilogy collection.

Don’t get too excited, though, because the project is “still very early in development”, so “we ask for your patience as it will be a while before anything else can be shared. “

Original Kratos voice-actor TC Carson got to make the announcement via trailer, an indication that is likely reprising his role as the world’s angriest dude.

The important thing here is that the project is referred to as a full-blown remake several times.

This begs a great many questions: will we still get the titty scenes? Y’know, the important stuff. But seriously, is the intent to keep the gameplay from the original trilogy intact, or are they going to try to meld it with modern God of War to make the whole thing more cohesive? Will it drop to a tighter, over-the-shoulder view or retain the more pulled-back camera? As much as I enjoy modern God of War, I want that old-school vibe and combat systems of the originals, just polished up to a shine.

What do you guys think? How are they going to handle this remake project, and when will we see it?
