Xbox has announced the next wave of Game Pass additions, taking us from a stack of games arriving today all the way through to Gears of War: E-Day on October 6.

As usual, access varies depending on your subscription. Several of these games are existing Ultimate and PC Game Pass titles now moving into Game Pass Premium, while the new day-one releases are reserved for Ultimate and PC members. Confusing? Abso-bloody-lutely.

Here’s the complete list:

• September 15 – RuneScape: Dragonwilds (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC) — Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.
• September 16 – Marvel’s Cosmic Invasion (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC) — now joining Premium.
• September 16 – Planet of Lana II (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC) — now joining Premium.
• September 16 – Routine (Cloud, console, handheld and PC) — now joining Premium.
• September 16 – Ultimate Sheep Raccoon (Cloud, console and PC) — now joining Premium.
• September 17 – Kernel Hearts (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC) — day one on Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
• September 17 – Ninja Gaiden 4 (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC) — now joining Premium.
• September 22 – Dune: Awakening (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC) — Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.
• September 22 – Well Dweller (Cloud, console, handheld and PC) — day one on Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
• September 23 – Mad King Redemption (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC) — Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.
• September 25 – Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Cloud, console, handheld and PC) — now joining Premium.
• September 29 – Minecraft Dungeons II (Cloud, console, handheld and PC) — day one on Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
• October 2 – Keeper (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC) — now joining Premium.
• October 6 – Gears of War: E-Day (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC) — day one on Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Rematch will also join the cheaper Game Pass Essential tier on September 25, alongside its existing availability through Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.

Marvel’s Cosmic Invasion is a massive highlight for me. I gave it five stars when I reviewed it last year thanks to its excellent cast of 15 heroes and smooth, chaotic action. It works brilliantly whether you just want to mash buttons and smack cosmic bugs around or start digging into its tag-team mechanics.

Gears of War: E-Day is the other big one for me. The original Gears was the reason I bought an Xbox 360 in the first place, so seeing Dom return is going to be fantastic. I’m also very eager to find out whether E-Day genuinely returns to the horror flavour of the first game or ends up closer in tone to the newer entries. LIke Gears of War 5, which we are apparently never getting a fucking sequel to.

Eight games will then leave Game Pass on September 30:
