We’re a couple of weeks away from the launch of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft’s remake of arguably the best Assassin’s Creed game ever. It seems like Ubisoft has plans for the game even after launch, too.
Intercelluar is an X user who previously leaked logos and images for Rayman Legends Retold and Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition, so they have some credentials, at least.
Intercelluar posted an image of what seems to be a fiery, armoured pirate standing next to a cannon. In the background, there are ships aflame and a volcano.
According to the leaker, this is an image from “one of the DLCs/Character Packs” planned for the game. The original never had anything like this, so this is presumably completely new content for the remake.
Or it’s nonsense, of course. This could be an AI generated image. After all, the image doesn’t really match the original games tone or style. Black Flag had a couple of fantastical/supernatural elements, but they were small. Flaming pirates are a substantial course-change.
On a more personal note, the image is…well, ugly. It’s a hodge-podge of design and lacks any depth.
It’s also interesting that they are planning more content for the remake, despite cutting the Adawele DLC.
