Welcome back to another Patch Notes, the place where I grab a few news stories that interest me, recap them and offer up some thoughts! It’s been a busy few weeks, so in this Patch Notes I’m talking about the brand new Xbox Series X, The Game Awards, new game announcements and more.
Yes, I know, Patch Notes dropped off the face of the planet thanks to my legendary laziness. But it’s back and hopefully this time I’ll keep it up. As before this is simply a series where I grab a few pieces of news that interested me in particular and chat about them. This week there’s a new Half-Life game coming, Stadia is officially a thing and the October NPD proves again that Call of Duty is a juggernaut in terms of sales.
Years ago I used to get excited about E3 and the myriad of game announcements that would flood from out of it. But these days it’s a little harder to get excited about the event for a variety of reasons. The strange way in which its ran has resulted in a lot of companies holding their own conferences and events outside of E3. Over the years its become more and more commercial with more and more stilted speeches.
Ladies, gentlemen and highly evolved chimps that have learned how to browse the Internet, welcome back to Patch Notes, the bi-weekly series where I chat about some of the gaming news that’s rocking the world! This time I’m chatting about Sony aiming to make movies based on their games, an exciting new Call of Duty, a Call of Duty in trouble and Darksiders 4.
Hello, and welcome back to Patch Notes! As always I grab a few bits of news from the past week and discuss them. This week we’ve got Borderlands 3, a mini-meltdown from Randy Pitchford and Valve’s brand new VR unit that will not just break your bank, but also leave it crying in a small heap.
I’m a little late posting this weeks Patch Notes but in my defence I was away watching Avengers: Endgame and still haven’t really recovered from it. There wasn’t a lot of news that really grabbed my attention this week, so I’m just going to focus on two pieces, both involving Epic! Oh, Epic, you just keep providing so much material.
I failed to post a Patch Notes last week, but I’m back now! And man was there some big news over the past few weeks to talk about. I’ve picked a few topics to quickly chat about, from the PS5 being announced in surprising fashion to new Star Wars games so let’s delve into this!
In case you missed the past couple of Patch Notes this is a mid-week article where we cover a couple of pieces of news from the past week and I ramble about them, because rambling is what I do. This week has been pretty busy, but I’ve grabbed three things in particular that grabbed my limited attention span. So lets tackle the problems over at BioWare, the announcement of Borderlands 3 and the decline of pre-owned sales in the UK.
Welcome back to patch notes where I selectively chat about random bits of gaming news from the past week or so. This time there’s a lot of Sony stuff, plus Borderlands looks like its making a comeback.
In the inaugural Patch Notes – a simple series where I cover some of the news of the week and offer my views – we chat about the new Oculus Rift announcement and the future of VR, as well as Google’s new game streaming service, Google Stadia. Oh, and there’s the whole Steam vs Epic thing.
