In a move that will dissapoint Mass Effect fans everywhere, EA have announced that Mass Effect 3 has been officially delayed until 2012.

However, they did confirm that the new release will be in the first three months of 2012, and that the delay came from the team wanting to make the best Mass Effect game to date, though likely it also has something to do with wanting the games release to coincide with the release of the animated Mass Effect movie which will have a straight to video release.
