Of course we already knew that Assassin’s Creed III would be coming this year thanks to Ubisoft already confirming earlier that the game would be released to coincide with the whole “end of the world in 2012”. After all, the series entire storyline has been leading up to that very same moment, so what better time to release the game! Except that we’ll all be dead, of course, which, y’know, sort of sucks.
Anyway, it’s always nice to have official confirmation of a game even if we did already know it was coming, and in a terribly smart move Ubisoft also announced that Assassin’s Creed III will be arriving in October, presumably so we all have a few months to play through it before our imminent destruction.
Other than the confirmation and release date Ubisoft gave no other details, leaving plenty of room for speculation on setting, characters and all that good stuff.
