Considerable hype has been building for this Friday, all thanks to Sony promising to unveil a huge new exclusive for their platform. True to their word, Sony have revealed Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal, a “celebration of a storied history of great characters and rich worlds brought together in one game” being developer by SuperBot. If you want that in English, it’s a four-player brawler featuring characters like Kratos, Parappa the Rappa and more.
Ok, so it’s not a very original concept and it probably wasn’t as big as an announcement as people were expecting, but the game is still looking rather interesting, even if it does have a mouthful of a name.
The game will feature both singleplayer and multiplayer modes, although it will, according to SuperBot, be focused on the online aspects more than anything else, such as a robust tournament system. They’re also promising that the game will have enough to keep hardcore fighting fans happy, saying that they’re aiming to create an “experience accessible enough for all PlayStation fans to enjoy while also creating something deep enough for the serious fighting game aficionado.”
But don’t go listening to me, go watch the video above!
