Grand Theft Auto V Release Date Officially Confirmed By Rockstar, Coming Spring 2013

Well, as it turns out the recently leaked GTA V promotional posters were entirely correct as Rockstar have today confirmed that the next game in their insanely popular Grand Theft Auto series is due to arrive in the Spring of next year on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

The news came via Rockstar’s site where they had this to say:
“Today, we’re proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V is expected to launch worldwide spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond – from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean.”

They also confirmed that from we can expect a wealth of information about GTA V to be revealed in November. You’ll also be able to pre-order the game from November 5th onwards.

But wait! What about a PC release for GTA V? Rockstar had this to say:

“Hey guys, glad to see so much enthusiasm about the release announcement. For those asking about the PC platform, we’re currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don’t have any details to share about a PC version at this time.”

Alright, so console gamers can celebrate, PC gamers will just have to hold on a little while yet.
