It’s Christmas Eve and tomorrow gamers all around the world will be running downstairs to rip open their presents, eat way too much chocolate, drink too much and generally just have a bit of fun. So, before I log off to do the same I just wanted to take a moment to say MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!
Okay, so according to political correctness I’m not actually supposed to say merry Christmas in case somebody somehow manages to get offended by it, but I’m sure you all won’t mind, and if you don’t celebrate Christmas then just swap out that message to something more appropriate! The point is, I hope you all have a damn good day with friends and family.
As for me, I’ll still be around posting some reviews and news over Christmas and New Year, but obviously not as much as I’ll be enjoying myself and possibly in a drunken stupor. Truthfully I’ve been rather enjoying this past month because as always there’s nothing much out to review, and so for the first time in a while I’ve been able to go back and catch up on some games that I’ve been meaning to get back to, like the DLC packs for Borderlands 2! I’ve also been getting back into the blocky world of Minecraft on the 360, patiently amassing wood and stone for the construction of….something. And then there’s Far Cry 3, of which I opted not to take a review copy so that I could take my time and enjoy! I’m planning on writing out my top ten favorite games of the year in time for New Year, though, so I need to get my butt in gear and get it finished because it’s got a damn good chance of being pretty high up on the list!
Aside from that the only definite thing that’s coming up is a review for Daedelic’s A New Beginning. But I’m thinking of whacking up reviews for the two big Borderlands 2 DLC packs, Far Cry 3 and possibly even Minecraft since I never got around to it. Halo 4 is one I’m considering doing, but to be honest I’ve barely even touched the campaign and find myself struggling to muster up the desire to play it. And then we’ll be in 2013 and the new games will be flowing again!
So, here’s to a good Christmas! Have a good ‘un, everyone, and as always thank you for making this site possible! Without you guys I wouldn’t get to play so many games, have so much fun and live the dream. You’re all awesome.
