Ubisoft have today announced the release date for the first major chunk of Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC. Titled the Tyranny of King Washington: The Infamy, Ubisoft have revealed that it’s the first episode in a planned three-part tale and will be released on Xbox 360 and PC on the 19th of February, and Playstation 3 on the 20th of February.
In the first episode Connor awakens to find that despite his best efforts in the fight for justice George Washington has been crowned King of the United States of America, and so sets out to dethrone him, presumably by stabbing him, because, you know, Connor is an assassin – stabbing is sort of what he does. Well, some times. He seemed to forget about stabbing in Assassin’s Creed 3 in favor of mucking around doing errands for everyone.
Back on topic, though. If you’ve got the Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass, which costs a princely sum of 2,400MSP on Xbox 360 or £23.99 on Playstation 3 and PC, then you’ll be able to download the pack as soon as it comes out. If you don’t have the Season Pass then The Tyranny of King Washington: The Infamy will cost 800MSP, or £9.99 to download.
Currently there’s no word on when the next two episodes will arrive, but presumably they’ll be priced the same.
