EA To Hold Official Battlefield 4 Reveal Event On March 26th In San Francisco

EA have sent out invites to the media asking them to come and, “celebrate a new era of Battlefield” on March 26th during the Game Developers Conference being held in San Francisco between March 25th and March 29th.

No other details were given out in the invite, so this is going to be a pretty short news post, I guess.

Well, presumably we can expect the first previews and articles on the game to start showing up in the following weeks, depending, of course, on whether there’s any embargos in place.

Earlier today rumours circulated that a teaser trailer would be released on the official Battlefield site today, but so far that’s yet to show up. Of course the day isn’t over quite yet. Also in related news the games supposed cover art was leaked by a Twitter user called 32Bita, whose profile has now gone private. You can see that below.

I’m not going to be attending the event, because attending events requires money, and money is something that I don’t have a lot of lying about the place. And if I did have money lying about the place, you can bet your ass it would have been spent on Jelly Babies by now, because Jelly Babies are awesome.

Personally, though I love the Battlefield series I’m having some trouble getting excited for this. Battlefield 3 may have been released at the end of 2011, but it feels like just yesterday that I was playing it for the first time. A large part of me hopes that EA and Dice pull a huge curveball and actually announced Battlefield: Bad Company 3, which I would much rather see than Battlefield 4.
