Ubisoft have today revealed that the Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, the digital download next chapter of the Call of Juarez franchise, will be released on May 22nd. You’ll be able to pick it up on PC and the Playstation 3 Network for £11.99, and on Xbox 360 for 1200MSP.
The game is being developed by Techland, whose list of work isn’t all that impressive, with the most known being Dead Island, but is actually looking surprisingly good. The game is going back to the series wild west roots and looks set to deliver some fun, fast-paced western action.
It’s also interesting that alongside Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon this will be the second Ubisoft title this year to deliver a slice of downloadable action from a normally retail series. It’s an idea that, at the moment, I very much approve of.
And speaking of approval, I’m very much hoping to be approving of Gunslinger when it releases. Media previews so far seem to be fairly impressed with the game and the trailer above shows off some pretty cool stuff. Westerns are in short supply, so we need something good.
