Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Story Based Freedom Cry DLC Arriving Soon

Have you buckled every swash and walked every plank Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag? No? Good, because those things are stupid. But have you finished the game and been left wanting more? Yes? Well, you’re in luck as a 4+ hour chunk of singleplayer DLC is on its way.

The advert above, spotted in the latest issue of Game Informer, tells us that a piece of DLC entitled Freedom Cry focusing on Adewale will arrive on December 17th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3. Neither the Wii U or PC are mentioned. Presumably it will follow his journey to free his fellow slaves, although for all I know it could tell the exciting tale of how he beat that guy at poker once.

Either way the idea of more Black Flag excites me greatly as it really was a superb game,  something to which I attested to in a slightly gushing review. Okay, maybe more than a little. A lot. Shut up.

  1. I hate what Ubi have been doing with Assassin’s Creed DLC as of late, giving us content that is separate from the main game. Take AC3 for example, the Tyranny DLC was good don’t get me wrong but i would of preferred lengthy content that added to the main game so i could get more use out of all those fancy weapons and upgrades i worked hard to get.

The same goes for AC4, they are going to release all this DLC that is separate from the main game making all those epic upgrades you worked so hard to get mean nothing. Take this “60 minutes exclusive gameplay” on Playstation, it had NOTHING to do with wasn’t even in the same fkin time period. it was set in AC3 time period and made not even a single reference toward anything in AC4.

Leave a Reply! Seriously, I'm lonely. Talk to me. Hello? Anyone?
