UK online game retailer GAME have put up listings for a new Batman: Arkham game, titled Batman: Arkham Knight, for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC, adding further fuel to already heated rumours that Rocksteady will be announcing a new Dark Knight title soon.
Rumours have been circulating for some time now, and if they prove to be true then Game Informer magazine will be officially revealed a new Batman game as the cover of their latest issue some time today.
Furthermore back in February a Gamespot member posted a blog which showed a promotional Batman poster. The poster featured the Arkham bat with the edges on fire. Later another poster that looked exactly the same appeared on SuperHeroHype forum, but this time hanging from the roof of a retailer, as shown above.
More evidence comes in the form of an IGN writer Jan Meijroos, who back in early February Tweeted a picture of Rocksteady’s address plate that sits on the wall at the entrance to their building. When asked about it he replied that he could not talk about it for a month, which would, of course, would be around now. His Tweet was quickly deleted.
So, A Rocksteady developed Batman game looks pretty likely to be announced within the week, and possibly even today. Arkham Origins was a fun game but it lacked the soul of the previous titles, and so I, for one, am looking forward to seeing what Rocksteady have got planned.
