PopCap and EA have announced that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, a great little shooter that I was rather impressed by, will get its first chunk of free DLC tomorrow for Xbox One and Xbox 360. That’s right, free DLC. From EA.

Titled the Garden Variety pack this piece of content will include a brand new game mode titled Gnome Bomb, which challenges each team to destroy the oppositions reinforced Garden/Graveyard.

On top of that we can expect a whooping 24 new ability upgrades, which breaks down to three per class,  including the Sunflower’s Solar Flare Beam, Chomper’s Super Goop which cements zombies in place, and the All-Star Zombie’s Ultra Tackle.

Finally a new map will be introduced entitled Chomp Town.
