Titanfall Boosts Xbox One Sales

Given that Titanfall has been the most anticipated launch of the year and has met with one hell of a critical reception it’s perhaps unsurprising that its launch has apparently boosted Xbox One sales in the UK.

Overall sales of the Xbox One were up by 96% over last month according to GFK Chart-Track, with the Titanfall bundle accounting for 70% of it. That’s some impressive percentages right there, but sadly it doesn’t actually mean very much as it’s proving hard to find out how many Xbox Ones were sold in the UK last month. After all if only 10,000 consoles were sold last month then almost doubling sales to 20,000 isn’t very impressive.

Still, during the course of this Titanfall has also become the biggest selling game of 2014, knocking off previous holder Fifa 14 by more than double the copies shifted, which is  a little surprising given that the football sim is available on far more platforms.
