In an EA blog it has today been revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall has been delayed in order to allow BluePoint Games more time to polish it up.
“I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic. But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players. ”
Titanfall for the Xbox 360 was due to release later this month on March 25th for North America and March 28th for Europe, but has now been pushed back to April 8th and April 11th respectively.
“The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we get the last details right. See you on the Frontier.”
Naturally with so many gamers still choosing not to adopt the Xbox One there’s a lot of people eager to get their hands on Titanfall for the Xbox 360. However some doubts were raised last week when insider Peter Dodd claimed via Twitter that that Titanfall was running at 30fps and sub-720p on the Xbox 360, which would naturally be a bit of a letdown for fans.
Previously Peter Dodd announced that the 360 version of the game was being handled by Bluepoint, one week before the official announcement was made that revealed his claim to be true.
Could this explain the lack of hands-on time with the previous generation version of the game? Hopefully if it is true this small delay will result in the game making it up to 720p and a stable 30fps.
