Having been briefly teased by Square Enix the existence of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been announced by Game Informer magazine, where the game will be featured on the cover of the next issue.
According to the magazine Mankind Divided is set twelve years after the events of Human Revolution and will see Adam Jensen return, this time joining forces an Interpol-funded taskforce that hunts down augmented terrorists. Unsurprisingly given the events of Human Revolution Jensen is now living in a world that fears transhumans.
Because Game Informer will be doing a huge feature on Divided Mankind in their forthcoming issue game details are understandably thin on the ground, but they did confirm Jensen will have a suite of new augmentations for players to enjoy.
Finally they confirmed a PS4, Xbox One and PC release.
Human Revolution was flawed certainly, and pretty ugly on a technical level, but it was also a supremely enjoyable RPG/Shooter. With the power of new consoles let’s hope the developers can expand on giving players plenty of ways to navigate the world and situations that they find themselves in. Can you just imagine how much could be done? How many ways we could tackle a problem? I absolutely can’t wait.
