Micosoft have released an update that weighs in at just over 1GB which complete replaces the UI with a new, fresh look that promises to be quicker and easier to navigate than the previous one.

If you turn on the console you should be promoted to update, but if not head to settings and there’ll be an option to check for updates. If you still can’t get it just be patient, it will become available eventually.

Microsoft have published a troubleshooting list for known issues with the new UI which you can find HERE.

Aside from the shiny new UI the update also enables the much awaited backwards compatibility which lets you play 104 Xbox 360 titles on the Xbox One, with more to come. Digitally purchased Xbox 360 games will start to show up on your games list, while physical copies will need you to toss the disc in and then be downloaded.
