My favorite RTS game of all time, and indeed one of my favorite games of all time, has just arrived on Steam at the exceptionally good price of £2.39. That’s right, Total Annihilation is now available via Steam, hopefully bringing it to a whole new generation.

The package contains both official expansion packs, Battle Tactics and Core Contigency, the map editor, support for resolutions up to 1080p and is the 3.1 version, making it compatible with the thousands of fantastic mods and full game conversions that fans have made over the years. Sadly the multiplayer has no been updated.

I’m consistently amazed by how well Total Annihilation still holds up, and may have to revisit it yet again. Perhaps I’ll do a review, eh?
