Last year there was some confusion surrounding whether Rise of the Tomb Raider was an Xbox One exclusive or not. It was, of course, later revealed that the game was merely a timed exclusive and would eventually arrive on other platforms, leaving us all to wonder, “Yeah, but when?”

January. That’s when. Or at least that’s what Steam is currently saying where a page for Rise of the Tomb Raider has been added with a vague January release date.

However, there is some other supporting evidence to make this seem more likely. Earlier this month Amazon France accidently let it slip that the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider would be out on January 29th.

Square Enix’s official word is that the sequel to their successful reboot would arrive on other platforms in early 2016.

If this information is accurate then I’m looking forward to it. A lack of review code meant that I completely missed Rise of the Tomb Raider when it came out, which is disappointing since a lot of people hold it in high regard and it’s even making appearences in the many lists of top games from 2015. A PC version might just give me the opportunity to check it out and offer up an opinion.
