It’s finally here folks: after a decade of waiting we finally have our first glimpse at the next GTA game. Following the entire trailer leaking online and being quickly shared around social media, Rockstar has opted to publish the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer ahead of its planned Tuesday, December 5th reveal.

Set to Love Is A Long Road by Tom Petty, the trailer follows the franchise’s first female protagonist Lucia. She’s joined by a male character that appears to be a love interest, but he’s never named nor does the trailer indicate if he will be playable as well.

The trailer also confirms prior leaks that GTA VI will return to the legendary Vice City, which we last saw in 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

There seems to be a focus on social media throughout the trailer with clips constantly popping up of people doing insane shit. This could just be a stylistic choice for the trailer, though.

So when can we expect Grand Theft Auto VI to launch? The trailer answers that question: 2025. We don’t have any idea about platforms yet, including whether it will launch on last-gen hardware.

As of November, GTA V is just 10 million away from having sold a staggering 200 million copies, making one of the biggest videogames ever. Its online mode continues to be updated and iterated upon by Rockstar, raking in bucketloads of cash for the company.

However, Rockstar has been plagued by leaks building up to the trailer’s launch. Just last year a massive data breach resulted in developmental footage being leaked online, and just days more footage appeared online showing the scale of the city. Said footage was seemingly leaked by the son of a Rockstar employee.

As my own thoughts on the trailer, it was fairly mid. Keep in mind, though, that’s me talking about the trailer on its own. As a Grand Theft Auto game I have every confidence that it will be amazing, but the trailer by itself was just okay. I expected something a bit more explosive for the debut, but there’s plenty of time for Rockstar to delve deep into the game and show us why we’ve had to wait so long for a sequel.
