After just a month on sale, Monster Hunter: Wilds has apparently sailed passed a mind-boggling 10 million copies sold, according to publisher Capcom.

On April 4th the first free “Title Update” will drop, adding in “a fan-favorite monster as well as the Grand Hub, a new in-game settlement where players can gather and communicate with each other.”

10 million copies puts it roughly on par with Monster Hunter 3 which sits at 10,081,422 copies sold, although does include its many variants such as the portable version, Ultimate etc.

Of course, the true king of the Monster Hunter jungle is Monster Hunter World, which as of December 2024 had hit 21.3 million copies sold. 28.1 if you include the Iceborne expansion.

Only time will tell if Monster Hunter: Wilds can hit similar numbers. It might be in for a rougher time as so for the reception has not been as glowing. Right now, for example, it holds a “mixed” rating on Steam.
