Hollow Knight: Silksong, the eagerly awaited sequel that began life as an expansion, has become a running joke at this point, unless you’re a fan in which case it’s more like a running punch in the nuts. But hope might be on the horizon, dear friends, because Nintendo has dropped a tantalising crumb of information.

Silksong briefly appeared during the official Switch 2 event in which Nintendo offered up a proper look at their new console (launching June 5) and all the games coming to it.

Here’s the intriguing bit: Silksong was listed as coming to the Switch 2 in 2025. While that’s not exactly the super precise release date fans are hoping for it, it does seemingly narrow things down because prior to this Team Cherry hadn’t confirmed anything.

It seems unlikely Nintendo would have included the 2025 date without being at least somewhat certain about it.
