IO Interactive are doing pretty well at the moment as 007 First Light continues to sell well, approaching nearly 3 million copies, and now they have the Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered launching in 2027.
As the name suggests, the package contains all three of the original Hitman titles. Thats Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Hitman” Contracts.
This will be the first time that Hitman: Codename 47 has ever been officially available on console. Prior to this, it has been a PC exclusive title.
Surprisingly, Saber Interactive is handing the development. That’s right, the same Saber which seems to have about a bazillion games either just released, releasing or in development.
The remastered package is promising “upgraded character models, enhanced environments, and high-resolution textures” along with a toggle to turn off the graphical enhancements and revert back to the original look. You can also admire the visuals via a new photo mode, in case you’d like to really showcase Agent 47’s bald dome.

I’m excited for this. It has been so long so I experienced the original games that they might as well just be ghosts in my memory. Going back to the play them now – especially the first game – can be pretty rough. By the sounds of it, the gameplay and controls are going to be untouched, so purists will be happy, too.
Hitman Classic trilogy Remastered will be available next year on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
