Get ready to replay the very first Halo game once again, as Halo: Campaign Evolved was shown off at the Xbox Games Showcase, where it was officially announced as coming to PS5 on launch day.
The game will launch on July 7 for Xbox, PlayStation and PC, and like we already knew is a ground-up remake of the first Halo game, sans the multiplayer.
But we are getitng brand new two-player split-screen co-op and four-player online co-op, with crossplay support. These are tied to the new missions that are being added to the game which take place after the campaign but before the events of Halo: Reach.
The announcement that Campaign Evolved will be coming to PS5 is interesting, because in the very same showcase, Xbox stated that Gears of War: E-Day will be an Xbox exclusive.
