Oh, this is a good one! The original Ratchet & Clank from 2002 will be available for the first time on modern PlayStation hardware without having stream it.
The game be dropping into the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog later this year, confirmed the official Insomniac X account while cleaning a colossal assortment of crazy weapons.
Insomniac’s own James Stevenson retweeted the announcement while also confirming that that it’ll have a completely new Trophy list, meaning you can Platinum it again. In fact, this would technically be the third time you Platinum game. Fourth, if you include the fact that there might be seperate PS4/PS5 versions when it launches later this year.
I’m super-hyped to play through the original game again. It has been…well, 24 years since I’ve played Ratchet & Clank. The 2016 was fantastic and I was happy to Platinum that, but I want to re-experience the original, especially since the dynamic between Ratchet & Clank was completely different – Ratchet was a total dick, making them more like enemies shoved into a tag-team situation.
While the announcement says PS Plus Classics Catalog, the chances are you’ll be able to buy it seperately as well.
