Well, it turns out all those images of strange black boxes that people were claiming was some sort of GTA 6 Collector’s Edition was, in fact, a GTA 6 Collector’s Edition. Well, the Grand Theft Autio VI: The Goodtime State – Vice Collection, to be exact.
This massive black box contains several drawers and a lid which all open to reveal a bunch of GTA 6 merch, but notably does not include the game itself – not even a download code.
Oh, and it can be yours for the low price of just £349.99/$399.99. Rockstar says it’s “A premium Collector’s Box featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator.”
It will be available on November 19, the same day as GTA 6 comes out. And it will be interesting to see how many boxes Rockstar sells. Probably a surprising amount.
Your cash gets you the fancy box itself which measures 19 in x 13.5 in x 12.5 in. You also get a Macca the Gator figure which has a twist open base so you can store whatever the hell you want. Then there’s a pair of Oakley Frogskins Sunglasses, which are decked out in black and pink with blue lenses. Then there’s the Leonida Keys Crossbody bag and a New Era 9Forty Snapback hat. If you put on the glasses, bag and hat you’ll either look incredibly cool or like a complete douchebag. Probably the second one. But that ain’t all folks, because you also get a Macca the Gator magnetic mirror so that you can “Reflect on your life choices in this electroplated pink glass mirror.” I recommend reflecting on the £349.99 you just spent buying the bloody thing. Next up, there’s the Chunkee the Manatee shot glass that goes with the Vice City Cllectible Swizzle Spoon and Vice City Razor Blade Keychain. And there’s still more: a Leonida Keys Enamel pin set that comes in a metal tin; Leonida Keys Sticker Pack in a stash bag; and a double-sided souvenir poster with a map of Leonida.
According to Rockstar, this is only available in limited quantities, although the website doesn’t state how many are being made.
