If you wanted a reminder that GTA 6 is actually real and is actually launching in *checks calendar* just 22 days, then this it: we now know the download size, and as expected it’s fucking massive.
According to the PlayStation Game Size account on X, which does a fantastic job of reliably reporting how big downloads are, GTA 6 has a whopping download size of 210GB. That’s about a third of your PS5’s regular storage space unless you’ve upgraded the storage at somepoint.
That’s an impressive download size. It doesn’t quite top the list, but some of the games above it like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 only beat it out by having a bunch of other stuff and add-ons included. In fact, I have a feeling that if we stripped back the criteria so it was day-1 download size with no extra nonsense (like how Modern Warfare 3 includes Warzone etc) then GTA 6 might be the biggest download size for a game yet. Maybe.
