Developers S-Game shared the news on social media, telling fans; “Thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support.

According to S-GAME’s founder and CEO Liang Qiwei, the game’s budget was around $45-60 million, a relatively small amount compared to most Western triple-A titles these days.

Assuming every copy sold was the most basic version, Phantom Blade Zero has brought in around $240 million in revenue so far. It gets more complicated when trying to factor in regional pricing, though, especially as the game is likely to be most popular with the Chinese audience. On October 27, Alinea Analytics believed China, Taiwan and Hong Kong combined accounted for around 62.5% of pre-orders. Plus, there’s a few other editions of the game available, too, which would increase the total. And the revenue doesn’t account for lots of other factors, including the cuts that each platform takes.

But even then, it seems like Phantom Blade Zero is well on its way to become a huge success for S-GAME which self-published the game, and for Tencent which is an investor. The Chinese videogame scene continues to rise.
