November is almost here, somehow, and PlayStation has announced another batch of “free” games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Free, of course, as long as you keep paying for a subscription.

As confirmed on the official PlayStation Blog, Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered and Monster Train 2 will be available from Tuesday, November 3 to Monday, November 30. All three are included with every tier of PlayStation Plus.

Dead Island 2 (PS5, PS4) is the headline game for November. The City of Angels has been overrun by zombies, which is never ideal for property prices. You’ll fight through familiar Los Angeles locations, meet a collection of eccentric survivors and make use of an assortment of brutal weapons to thin out the undead. There’s also online co-op for up to three players, so you can bring friends along to get bitten.

The PlayStation Blog describes it as an “extensive, visceral RPG experience” with a “joyously pulpy narrative.” I like the sound of that. Sometimes you want a serious, carefully considered zombie drama; sometimes you want to slice and smash your way through LA with a collection of increasingly ridiculous weapons.

Next up is Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered (PS5, PS4), which brings together the three games in the Darkness Trilogy: The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness. You can switch between the original polygonal models and the remastered graphics at any time. That last game has a rocky reputation, so it’ll be interesting to see how the collection handles it.

Finally, Monster Train 2 (PS5) is a single-player deckbuilding roguelite where former angels and demons team up to take on powerful Titans who have seized control of Heaven. You’ll recruit units, upgrade cards and defend three vertical levels aboard trains as you travel through Hell, Heaven and the Abyss. It sounds like a lot to manage, but at least the train gets to see a few different sights.

All three games will be available to claim from November 3. Before then, you have until November 2 to add October’s games—F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2—to your library.

Personally, nothing in this month’s offering is really grabbing my attention.
