CD Projekt Red says that Cyberpunk 2077 is currently their main source of income and is still selling copies at an impressive rate.

More specifically, the sci-fi RPG – which had a rather rough start due to a host of technical issues – has now surpassed an impressive 35 million copies sold. This ties it for 24th on the list of best-selling videogames of all time, alongside the Gameboy edition of Tetris.

Of course, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt stands as the company’s most successful game to date, having sold over 60 million copies. However, according to the developer’s data, Cyberpunk 2077 reached 35 million copies faster than The Witcher 3 did.

Cyberpunk is currently our main source of revenue,” said financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz “and we are constantly expanding its availability.”

The video goes into greater depth on the company’s financials, mentioning Cyberpunk 2077’s release on both Switch 2 and MAC, as well as its inclusion on the PlayStation Game Catalog.

The video notes that CD Projekt Red’s numbers are up over last year. In fact, peak earnings are even higher than when Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion, Phantom Liberty, launched in 2023.

In short, the company is doing just fine as it continues to work on The Witcher 4 which currently has 447 people working on it. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2 has entered full production with 135 developers assigned to it, confirmed CD Projket Red.
